					Our first half term!

What a fantastic first half term! Over the last 8 weeks, we have been discovering lots about The Stone Age, Classification, Fair Trade, read The Highwayman and more.
We were visited by historian, Graeme, who brought in real Stone Age artifacts for us to handle. We enjoys a 'French Day', where we tried out our French skills and enjoyed some delicious French food. In science, we have discovered how animals are classified and created beautiful information booklets inspired by a visit by a scientist from the UEA.
We have also had an interactive QandA session with marine biologists from 'I'm and Scientist Get Me Out of Here!'.
On top of all this, we have been working on our knowledge of place value in maths and doing some amazing writing inspired by our topics.
New for this year, our year 6 cohort have been 'buddied' up with our youngest children to support them in new activities and share experiences.
We have also introduced 'Prefects' , each half term, year 6 pupils will be presented with a Prefect Badge and will support staff in looking out for pupils in our school demonstrating our school values; To be Ready, Respectful and Safe!
